To: Secretary of the Admiralty

Be pleased to submit to Their Lordships the enclosed report dated 23"d February 1943 No 27801190 forwarded to me by the Commanding Officer FIMS Glenroy covering a copy of his submission dated 20'b November 1942 to Rear Admiral Alexandria.

2 1 consider the work performed by the ship's company of Glenroy in repairing the ship after her sever damage and subsequently steaming her to England under very arduous and difficult conditions was a most praiseworthy exhibition of self-help, skill and perseverance and reflects great credit on the Captain and ship's company

3 1 should like therefore fully to support any recommendations for awards, which may be submitted, to Their Lordships by Rear Admiral Alexandria with reference to para. 3 Glenroy's submission to him of 20'h November 1942. As these recommendations only covered the period of the ships repair 1 submit for particular recognition the additional good service performed by the Engineer Officer - Lieut. Commander (E) A L Howard DSC RNR - during the ships passage to England.
